Maternity Provider & Facility fees
Your maternity care and delivery with us will consist of both Provider fees and Facility fees.
Provider Fee Breakdown
Maternity care with our midwives is billed out as a Global package. This package does not get submitted to your insurance until after you deliver with us or transfer care.

Newborn Fees
Depending on your plan, you may be responsible for a separate deductible for newborn fees.

- Newborn Exam, Medications and RPR screening
- 24 hour postpartum visit
- 3-day postpartum visit with PerkinElmer testing ($98.00 Fee paid directly to PerkinElmer via check)
Cost Estimates
Once you establish maternity care with Balance Midwifery we will calculate an estimate of anticipated maternity costs. This estimate will include both the Provider and Facility Fees. We will email it to you as soon as it is completed for your review.
The cost estimate total will be required to be paid in full prior to your 36 week appointment.

Self-Pay Patients
We are happy to accept self-pay patients. Our self-pay care package includes: your Prenatal care, Delivery, and Postpartum visits. We utilize affordable Lab and Ultrasound options to help you keep costs down for you. Please send us an email to ask about cost, and payment plans. Billing@Balancemidwifery.com
Insurance FAQ's
Can I use my healh share insurance?
We are happy to supply any necessary invoices and documentation needed for your to be reimbursed by your Health Share for your care.
HOW is the total for my cost estimate calculated?
Once you have decided to start care with us or purchase the Early Insurance Cost Estimate, our team will then call your insurance carrier to inquire about maternity coverage, network status and any authorizations required. Your estimated costs will then be calculated with your deductible and out-of-pocket totals provider by your carrier.
DO YOU OFFER FINANCING?
YES! Once your cost estimate is calculated the total will be split into payments that work for you. We also utilize United Medical Credit for patients that needs additional financing help.
Can I use my HSA for My maternity services
Yes! If you need a receipt for your HSA or FSA we are happy to supply any necessary information.
What if my insurance changes part way through care?
If your insurance changes during your prenatal care, partial charges will be submitted to the ending insurance carrier. A new cost estimate will be completed for additional services still to be rendered. Please let us know ASAP if changes are to occur.
