Prenatal Care Start of care is typically between 6 weeks to 12 weeks of gestation and will have between 10-14 visit prior to delivery. Ideally you should start care by 15 weeks to ensure your pregnancy is off to a great start.
Initial Prenatal Visit is a 90 minutes long with each following visit between 30-45 minutes.
Visits are personal and informative and cover topics such as what to expect during each stage of pregnancy, nutrition, physical activity and stress reduction. Feel free to ask any questions or concerns you may have along the way.
Standard tests and procedures are offered through care.
Tests offered in office are bloods draws, basic ultrasounds and fetal-stress testing.
Birth Our midwives do not share call with other facilities so you will know the midwife at your birth! Our midwives are with you from the start of active labor, through the birth of your baby and into the immediate port partum period. Both of our birthing rooms have tubs for your use. During labor and delivery our midwives:
Check vital signs continuously
Intermittently monitor fetal heart tones with a doppler
Maintain a continual risk assessment
Encourage family member involvement
Administer IV Fluid, Antibiotics, additional medicines or Nitrous, if needed
Encourage mom to walk, change positions, and eat/drink as desired
Perform laceration repair, if needed
Promote breastfeeding
Conduct a newborn exam following birth

Post-Partum Care: The post-partum period, we check in about mom's transition after birth, infant feeding, contraception's options, and overall well-being. Our office will help get you set up for any needed infant screening or tests. Typical visits care:
24-36 hour postpartum visits from mom and baby
3 day weight check with metabolic screening
1/3/6 week post-partum visits

Our midwives provide well-women care with both a holistic and medical approach. We offer:
Annual Wellness Exams- including routine screens and labs, referrals, and physical exams
